Everything people ask before they book

Below are the questions we hear most from homeowners and contractors across Cobb, Cherokee, Paulding, Bartow, and Douglas counties. If you don't see your question here, call us at (678) 855-8935 and we'll walk you through it.

Part 1

Pricing & Booking

How much does a dumpster rental cost in Marietta?

Most jobs in our service area run roughly $350 to $750, depending on container size, expected weight, how far we're delivering, and how long you'll keep the container. We quote a flat rate over the phone before scheduling, so there are no surprise fees added after delivery.

Is the quoted price really flat, or are there hidden fees?

The rate we quote covers delivery, pickup, and the weight allowance we discuss with you for that size. The only things that can change the price after booking are going significantly over the agreed weight limit, adding prohibited materials, or keeping the container well past the agreed rental period — all of which we explain clearly before you book.

How far in advance do I need to book?

Same-day or next-day delivery is often possible depending on our schedule and your location. For larger construction projects or a specific delivery date you need to hit, we recommend calling a few days ahead to lock in the size and timing you want.

How do I pay, and when?

We take payment by phone when you book. There's nothing to sign for on delivery beyond confirming placement — the container just shows up where you've asked for it.

Can I extend my rental if the project runs long?

Yes, just call before your scheduled pickup date and we'll extend the rental. It's easier to arrange in advance than to have a driver show up for pickup before you're ready.

Part 2

Sizing & What's Allowed

What size dumpster do I need for a typical Marietta home cleanout?

A 15 or 20-yard container handles most single-room renovations, garage cleanouts, or moderate estate cleanouts. Whole-house cleanouts or larger renovation projects usually call for a 20 or 30-yard. If you're not sure, describe the project when you call and we'll recommend a size.

What can't go in a dumpster in Georgia?

Standard roll-off containers can't take items like tires, batteries, paint, solvents, refrigerants-containing appliances, or other hazardous materials without special handling. We'll go over what's and isn't allowed for your specific project when you book so there are no issues at pickup.

Can I put roofing shingles in a dumpster?

Yes, shingles are commonly disposed of this way, but they're heavy — a roof tear-off typically needs its own size recommendation and weight allowance rather than sharing a container with other renovation debris. Mention the roofing job when you call so we can size it correctly.

What happens if I go over the weight limit?

Every rental includes a weight allowance based on the size you book. If a load comes in over that allowance, there's an overage charge based on the extra weight, which we'll explain up front so it's never a surprise.

Can I mix construction debris and household junk in the same container?

In most cases, yes — general construction debris and household junk can go in the same roll-off. Concrete, dirt, and other heavy fill material are the main exception, since they hit the weight limit fast and often need a dedicated container sized for heavy debris.

Part 3

Delivery & Placement

Where can the dumpster be placed on my property?

Most containers go on a driveway, but we can also place them on a level section of yard or a job site staging area if a driveway isn't available or isn't wide enough. Let us know your surface and space when you book so we bring the right size for the spot.

Will the dumpster damage my driveway?

We use placement boards under the container's contact points to spread the weight and reduce the chance of marks or cracking, especially on older or asphalt driveways. Let us know if your driveway is a particular concern and we'll take extra care with placement.

How much clearance does the delivery truck need?

Our trucks need roughly the length of the container plus extra room to maneuver and lower it into place — usually about 60 feet of relatively straight, unobstructed access. If your street or driveway has tight turns or low branches, mention it when you book so we can plan the approach.

Do I need to be home for delivery or pickup?

No, as long as you've told us exactly where to place the container and the spot is clear and accessible. Many customers arrange delivery to an empty driveway before they even arrive on site.

Part 4

Service Area & Permits

Do I need a permit to have a dumpster on my property?

If the container sits entirely on private property — your driveway or yard — a permit generally isn't required. If it needs to sit in the street or public right-of-way, most cities in our service area, including the City of Marietta, require a permit from the local public works department. We can tell you what applies to your specific address when you call.

Which towns do you deliver to?

We regularly serve Marietta, Smyrna, Kennesaw, Acworth, Powder Springs, Austell, Mableton, Vinings, and Fair Oaks in Cobb County; Woodstock, Canton, and Holly Springs in Cherokee County; Dallas and Hiram in Paulding County; Cartersville in Bartow County; and Douglasville in Douglas County.

Do you deliver to job sites in HOA neighborhoods?

Yes, and we're familiar with common HOA placement rules in many Cobb and Cherokee County subdivisions — things like keeping containers off the street or limiting how long they can sit visible from the road. Mention your neighborhood when you book and we'll factor that into placement.

Is my address within your delivery range if it's not on the town list?

Possibly — our coverage runs a bit beyond the core 16 towns depending on the location. Call us with your address and we'll confirm whether it's in range and what delivery involves.
